BRADY TOWNSHIP BOARD MEETING
November 14, 2006
Members Present: Supervisor Philport, Clerk Vermeulen, and Treasurer Allgaier. Absent: Trustees Guthrie* and Vander Kamp.
Others Present: Approximately 12 others.
Call to Order and Pledge: The meeting was called to order at 7:38 p.m. at the Brady Township Hall by Philport. The invocation was given by Vermeulen. This was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
** Agenda Approval: The Agenda was approved by a motion from Vermeulen and seconded by Allgaier. Motion Carried.
. ** Approval of Consent Agenda: The consent agenda was approved as follows with the exception of item “c” to be removed, by a motion from Vermeulen and seconded by Allgaier.
a. Approval of the minutes of the 9/05/06 Regular meeting.
b. Approval of Treasurers and Budget Reports
Removed: c. Approval of Disbursements and Transfers.

Motion Carried.
c. Approval of Disbursements and Transfers. A motion was made by Allgaier and seconded by Vermeulen to transfer $1500 from Township Hall Mowing to Ordinance Enforcement Professional Services. A roll call vote brought the following YES votes: Allgaier, Philport, and Vermeulen. Absent: Guthrie & VanderKamp. Motion Carried.

SCHEDULED AGENDA ITEMS:
**A. Land Division Fees: Philport presented the proposed new fees for land splits. After discussion, a motion was made by Vermeulen and seconded by Allgaier to table this until the December meeting when we can have the Assessor present, and the rest of the Board members. Vermeulen will also poll the other townships for their fees. Motion Carried.
B. St. John’s German Lutheran Church Cemetery: Philport updated on a letter received from the State Cemetery Commission. They have determined that we are in compliance.
C. Hazardous Waste Center Fee: Philport gave an update on increase in fees for more usage by Brady.
* Guthrie arrived and was seated with the Board.
D. MS 4 Update: Philport gave report on DEQ Storm water SWPPI, and gave background to those present.
E. South County Sewer & Water Authority Update: Philport reported that the Village of Vicksburg is considering joining the Authority.
F. South Kalamazoo County Fire Authority Update: Philport reported that a five year study on equipment, funding, manpower and facilities is in progress. They are also working on the possible combining of the ambulance and fire. Tracy Locey is the new administrator for the ambulance.

Report of Board Members: Guthrie said there will be a Planning Commission meeting next Thursday. Vermeulen reported that there was a 63 ½ % turnout in Brady for the November Primary Election. Allgaier reported that the tax bills will be out on December 1st, and that there is now a link to Storm Water on the website.
**Adjournment: With there being no further business, a motion was made at 8:13 P.M. by Guthrie and seconded by Vermeulen to adjourn the meeting. Motion Carried.
