BRADY TOWNSHIP BOARD MEETING


July 03, 2007



Members Present: Supervisor Philport, Clerk Vermeulen, Treasurer Allgaier and Trustee Vander Kamp. Absent: Trustee Guthrie.


Others Present: None.


Call to Order and Pledge: Philport called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. at the Brady Township Hall. Philport gave the invocation. This was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.


**        Agenda Approval: The Agenda was approved by a motion from Vermeulen and seconded by VanderKamp. Motion Carried.

 

**        Approval of Consent Agenda: The consent agenda was approved by a motion from Vermeulen and seconded by VanderKamp. Motion Carried.

 

a.  Approval of the minutes of the 6/05/07 Regular meeting.

b.  Approval of Budget Report

c. Approval of Disbursements and Transfers

d. Communications

 

Motion Carried.

 

Citizens Time: None.

 

SCHEDULED AGENDA ITEMS:

 

**        A.        Placement of Old Copy Machine: A Motion was made by Philport and seconded by VanderKamp to loan our old copy machine to the Ambulance Service when our new one arrives. Motion Carried


**        B.        Awards of Appreciation in August: Vermeulen requested that we give out certificates of appreciation to those persons who have been prior members on Boards or Commissions in Brady Township. A Motion was made by Vermeulen and seconded by Philport to do this at the August meeting. Motion Carried.


C.        Road Contracts for 2007: Philport reported that all contracts have been signed and are on file, with the exception of 30th St., which we are waiting on wedging prices.


D.        South County Sewer & Water Authority Update: Philport reported that there was no July meeting. Petitions are out for sewers in Schoolcraft Township and Village.

           

E.        South Kalamazoo County Fire Authority Update: Philport reported that sites are being researched for possible future building sites.

New Business: We have a new supply of County Plat Books for sale at $35.


Report of Board Members: Allgaier reported that the tax bills are out. Vermeulen reported on the recent MAMC conference she attended.


**        Adjournment: With there being no further business, a motion was made at 8:12 P.M. by Vermeulen and seconded by Allgaier to adjourn the meeting. Motion Carried.
