BRADY TOWNSHIP BOARD MEETING

July 1, 2008

Members Present: Supervisor Philport, Clerk Vermeulen, Treasurer Allgaier and Trustees Guthrie and VanderKamp.

Others Present: 4 others.

Call to Order and Pledge: Philport called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. at the Brady Township Hall. Philport gave the invocation. This was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

**          Agenda Approval: The Agenda was approved as printed, by a motion from Vermeulen and seconded by Guthrie. Motion Carried.

**          Approval of Consent Agenda: The Consent Agenda was approved as printed by a motion, from Guthrie and seconded by VanderKamp.

SCHEDULED AGENDA ITEMS:

            A.        Kalamazoo County Transportation Board: Four members of the Kalamazoo Co Transportation Board were in attendance. They all spoke about the plans and services available. The Board is trying to be county wide and not just metro useful.

**          B.        Receiving Board Resolution: A motion was made by Vermeulen and seconded by Philport to allow the Clerk to use a receiving Board and an absent voter counting board at the August Primary and the November general elections. Motion Carried.

C.        Election Commission Meeting: Vermeulen set Wednesday, July 9 at 9:30 a.m. for the next meeting of the Election Commission.

D.        South County Fire Authority Update: Philport reported that they are continuing to look at future needs for the fire station.

E.        South County Sewer & Water Authority Update: Philport updated on the recent meeting.

**          New Business: None

Report of Board Members: Allgaier reported that the tax bills are out. Philport reported the KCRC will be redoing 32^nd Street and prepping XY Avenue. Roadside spraying will take place in Brady this year.

**          Adjournment: With there being no further business, a motion was made at 8:32 P.M. by Vermeulen and seconded by VanderKamp to adjourn the meeting. Motion Carried.
