Absent: Trustees Vander Kamp and Guthrie.

Call to
Order and Pledge: The meeting was called to order at 7:35 p.m. at the Brady Township
Hall by Philport. The invocation and was
given by Philport. This was followed by
the Pledge of Allegiance.
** Agenda
Approval: The Agenda was approved with the addition by Philport of KCRC
report, by a motion from
Philport and seconded by Vermeulen. Motion Carried.
** Approval of Consent
Agenda:
The consent agenda was approved by a motion from Vermeulen and seconded by
Allgaier.

of the minutes of the 3/06/07 Regular meeting.

of Treasurers and Budget Reports

of Disbursements and Transfers

Motion Carried.
Citizens
Time: Kent McCauly, our local
Road Commissioner updated on the retirements at the KCRC and their temporary
replacements. Commissioners plan to be more
active in their rolls. He stated that
paving bids are out today and our project estimates are due out later this
week. We can also now roll Par funds
over into the next year.
SCHEDULED
AGENDA ITEMS:
** A. Communications & Burning
Sub-Comm to Planning Comm: Philport recommended that we request the
Planning Commission appoint a sub-committee to work on communications such as
ROW for cable, wireless, etc. and update our burning ordinance. A
Motion was made by Vermeulen and seconded by Philport to send this to
the Planning Commission. Motion

** B. Set
Trustee Wages for 2007-2008: After discussion, a Motion was made by Philport and seconded by Vermeulen to
continue the current wage for 2007-2008.
Motion Carried.
** C. Set Office staff wages 2007-2008:
A Motion was made by
Vermeulen and seconded by Allgaier to increase the three office staff wages by
$.50 per hour. Motion Carried.
** D. Set
Holiday Closings for 2007-2008: Holidays closing for the Township
Office were set to be Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day,
Thanksgiving and the Friday following, Christmas Day and Eve, New Years Day and
Eve, by a motion from
Vermeulen and seconded by Allgaier. Motion
Carried.
E.
Hall Mowing and Grounds Bids: Philport will publish for
bids to handle cemetery and hall mowing and grounds maintenance.
** F. Road
Projects for 2007: The quote for work on 32nd St is due out
this Thursday. The KCRC is also checking
on clay in the roadway on 30th St.
** G. Schwartz HVAC Service Agreement:
Philport made a motion to
contract with Schwartz Heating & Cooling for maintenance on our heating and
cooling equipment, to begin this fall.
This was seconded by Vermeulen. Motion
Carried.
H. South
County Sewer & Water Authority Update: Philport reported that as
there was no meeting this month, he had no report.
I. South
Kalamazoo County Fire Authority Update: Philport reported that the
budget is the same as last year, and that apportionments for fire protection to
the individual units of government have changed.
Unfinished Business: Philport reported that our
attorney has told us that we can not add alternate Planning Commission
members. Alternates are for the ZBA and
BOR only.
New Business: None
Report of Board Members: Allgaier reported that we
have receive one quote so far on a new copier.
** Adjournment: With there being no further business, a motion was made at 8:17 P.M.
by Vermeulen and seconded by Allgaier to adjourn the meeting. Motion Carried.
