BRADY TOWNSHIP BOARD MEETING

March 6, 2007

Members Present: Supervisor Philport, Clerk Vermeulen, Treasurer Allgaier, and Trustee Guthrie. Absent: Trustee Vander Kamp.

Others Present: 5 others.

Call to Order and Pledge: The meeting was called to order at 7:33 p.m. at the Brady Township Hall by Philport. The invocation and Pledge of Allegiance were waived, having just done these at the Annual meeting proceeding this regular meeting.

**        Agenda Approval: The Agenda was approved by a motion from Guthrie and seconded by Vermeulen. Motion Carried.

**        Approval of Consent Agenda: The consent agenda was approved with the addition of minutes from special meeting 2/20/07 and a transfer of $350 from Computer Special Forms 101-258-729 to Elections Legal Notices 101-193-901 by a motion from Guthrie and seconded by Allgaier. A roll call vote brought YES votes from Guthrie, Allgaier, Philport, and Vermeulen. Absent: VanderKamp.

a. Approval of the minutes of the 2/06/07 Regular meeting.

b. Approval of Treasurers and Budget Reports

c. Approval of Disbursements and Transfers

Motion Carried.

SCHEDULED AGENDA ITEMS:

**        A.        Appointments to the Vicksburg District Library Board: Vermeulen read a recommendation from the Vicksburg District Library to re-appoint Eloine Theobald and Charles Ocvirek to additional two year terms on the Library Board. A Motion was made by Vermeulen and seconded by Guthrie to appoint these two to another two-year term as our Representatives to the Vicksburg District Library Board. Motion Carried

**        B.        Appropriations Act for 2007-2008: Vermeulen read the Appropriations Act for 2007-2008. A Motion was made by Vermeulen and seconded by Guthrie to adopt this Resolution. A roll call vote brought the following YES votes, Vermeulen, Philport, Allgaier, and Guthrie. Absent: VanderKamp. Motion Carried.

C.        MS4 Storm Water Update: Philport updated on the current lawsuit pending with the MDEQ. Discussion was held on the future actions.

           D.        South County Sewer & Water Authority Update: Philport reported that the meeting was cancelled, so he had no report.

E.        South Kalamazoo County Fire Authority Update: Philport reported that the new amounts are in for each of the units participating fees.

Unfinished Business: Vermeulen reported that the carpeting was finished in the offices, but that the entryway piece was not yet done. A Motion was made by Philport and seconded by Vermeulen to pay all but $100 from the bill and pay the balance of $100 when the work is completely finished. Motion Carried.

New Business: None

Report of Board Members: These were all given at the preceding Annual Meeting.

**        Adjournment: With there being no further business, a motion was made at 7:58 P.M. by Vermeulen and seconded by Allgaier to adjourn the meeting. Motion Carried.
